Principles
Decisions should be made on the basis of principles.
Liberty
The least possible constraints should be placed on individuals consistent with civil society. Any essential constraints must be founded in law, with equal protection and due process.
Responsibility
Each person must accept responsibility for his or her self, the creation of opportunity for others, and the well-being of our community. Each decision-maker should bear the consequences of their decision.
Truth
Truth leads to the best decisions.
Democracy
The best outcomes arise from democratic decision making by informed citizens. Decisions should be made, and taxes imposed, as close to home as possible.
I discuss some ways in which I apply these principles in the Blog section of this site.
